Plan your Party
How Much Does JumpStart Charge?
Prices depend on many variables including location and services provided. Please contact us with as much detailed information as you can provide about your event and we will be in touch with you promptly with a quote. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible service and entertainment and will work hard to fit within your budget. What Does “Audience-Participation” Mean?
JumpStart is renowned for their unique audience-participation performances. In addition to working at getting the crowd involved on every song, JumpStart takes audience participation to a new level by welcoming audience members to join the band on stage to help us with the background vocals, dance, play tambourines, or even one of our mock guitars for all those “Guitar Heroes” in the crowd! Will JumpStart Be The Right Band For My Wedding?
Absolutely! We know nothing is more important than having every detail handled expertly for your special day and JumpStart has the experience of having played hundreds of weddings. JumpStart can provide a mellow “cocktail” or “dinner” set and then keep the dance floor packed for the rest of the night. We can “MC” your entire event including announcements and introductions. A wireless microphone will be provided so your guests can make toasts and speeches. We can provide high-energy dance music during the band’s break (if we even take one!---JumpStart is known for their long non-stop sets!), provide one or two special songs for events like cake-cutting and garter-toss and we will learn your special songs for your ceremony, “first dance”, “father/daughter dance” etc. We will send you a detailed “wedding planner” to fill out to make sure that all of your needs are attended to. In essence, once you hire JumpStart for your wedding, you can relax and let us do the work! Will JumpStart Play My Favorite Songs?
JumpStart has years of experience playing all sorts of events and our professionalism results in knowing just how to suit our songlist for your needs. But beyond that, you are welcome to choose any songs from our extensive songlist that you want to hear and tell us which ones you don’t. If your event or theme party requires a special song or two not on our list, we will be happy to learn it for you. If you or a special guest want to sing or play with the band on a special song, you are more than welcome to “sit in” with the band. And, of course, there will never be any profanity used on stage during or in-between any songs. What Does JumpStart Wear On Stage?
JumpStart will appear on stage in apparel appropriate for your event. Our standard outfits are dressy, classy and cool. If you have a special event “theme” night, such as 70’s or 80’s, JumpStart will wear costumes designed to entertain the crowd. Formal suits will be worn when appropriate, and any suggestions or special requests that you feel add something extra to your event are welcome! If your wedding or special event has a color-scheme, we will be happy to adjust our attire accordingly! How Far Will JumpStart Travel?
The members of JumpStart have played gigs all over the country and around the world. Our base location of Lake Tahoe makes any location in Northern California or Northern Nevada no more than a few hours’ drive and a small travel fee is usually sufficient to accommodate the expenses. If your event is located further away, JumpStart can easily provide your entertainment by having the majority of the equipment rented at the location and the band will ‘fly in’ to play for the event. All arrangements can be handled by our expert staff. Does JumpStart Provide Sound and Lighting
JumpStart regularly travels with a full professional sound and lighting system which will be tailored to the size of the venue and the needs of your event. And our sound system is available to you for speeches, announcements and any music you provide on Ipod or CD that you want to play before the event. Song List
